Course Description

Build your confidence on knowing what to do in emergency driving situations with this 1-day course. This course has both classroom and practical portions which cover many different types of driving emergencies. Given that the best way to learn is by doing, a majority of this course focuses on practical and hands-on learning.

  • Tire inspections
  • Tire changing
  • Vehicle Maintenance
  • Proper use of 2-wheel, 4-wheel and all-wheel drive systems
  • Techniques for self-removal from ditches and snow banks
  • Roadside emergency scene management
  • Emergency Shelters
  • Emergency Signaling

As the practical portion will be outside students are required to dress properly for the weather. If you would like to practice tire chaging on your own vehicle, please remember to bring your vehicle’s locked lug nut.
